Here is the consolidated list of all the tools and resources that I use on a regular basis. I’m sure you’ll find them very useful!

Domain Name

GoDaddy

I’ve tried a couple of other domain name sites, but I keep going back to GoDaddy because it is easy to use, pricing is competitive and their billing is transparent.

Website Hosting

BlueHost

I’ve tried Hostgator, Big Rock and BlueHost. BlueHost wins hands down because of its customer service!

Website Platform

WordPress

This is the only web design platform I’ve tried. It is super easy to use and is perfect for non-techies like me 🙂

Website Template

Themeforest

You can choose from among the thousands of beautiful and functional WordPress templates available on Themeforest. I love it for the variety. Some pro-designers also recommend Genesis, Thesis, WooThemes and Elegant Themes.

Lead Capture Service

Aweber

It’s the market leader in lead capturing and very easy to use. You can start off with a $1 for first month trial plan. Other good options are MailChimp and GetResponse.

Landing Pages

LeadPages

I’ve just started using their services and I must say that the results have been great. The conversion rate in one of my websites is 65% (that’s crazy!). OptinMonster is also a favorite in the internet marketing circle.

Outsourcing Sites

Fiverr

Get all your small tasks done for just $5. I have an entire team of freelancers from Fiverr helping me with various tasks in my business.

Elance

A great place to find all kinds of freelancers. Obviously, it’s more expensive than Fiverr, but the quality is also far superior.

Odesk

Very similar to Elance. Infact, both the companies have merged now. I use this site as a backup when I don’t find people on Elance.

99Designs

If you have a budget of at least $299 for designing your logo, stationary product label etc, this is the go-to place. Designers will compete with each other for the job you’ve posted and you get to choose the best one.

Designing

Canva

If you have no clue about Photoshop (like me!), this site would be a great tool. I make Facebook posts, blog photos, website banners, book covers etc. on my own using this brilliant online software. PicMoney is another tool similar to Canva.

Pixlr

This is a great photo-editing software to create some good Photoshop-like effects.

Dollar Photo Club

This is the site I use to buy stock photos. You can buy any photo for just $1. Way cheaper than the other stock photo sites.

Screen Capturing

Camtasia

I use this software to create screen capture videos for my courses, interviews and blogs. The best software for PC. If you are using a Mac, go for ScreenFlow.

Money Transactions

Paypal

This one is a must use. You’ll need it for buying most of the products and services online.

Payoneer

This is a great service, especially for people living outside the US to get their payments as direct deposits instead of checks.

Book Recommendations

My life changed after I started reading books a few years back. These are some of my favorites that I’ve read multiple times! Will keep adding more to this list.
